At times when their cruel enemies would march against these peaceful mountain people with armed warriors, God fought for them, sending dense fog and clouds that blinded the armies causing them to get lost and fall from the narrow passageways. The unarmed Waldenses would defend their valleys by rolling rocks down from the heights.
