PLANET IN REBELLION !LAW AND LIFE
God is the source of all life. BECAUSE WE OWE ALL TO GOD, OUR
CREATOR- "thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." Mark 12:30 This means each created being is under obligation to obey his creator and give him undivided loyalty! Secondly- All created intelligences will respect and love one another as they recognize that they all belong to God their Creator! No Creature has the right to demand from another loyalty that belongs to God alone. "THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF" MARK 12:31 ALL GOD'S CHILDREN ARE TO KEEP GOD'S LAW!
LUCIFER REBELLED
AGAINST THE LAW OF THE UNIVERSE FOR A CREATED BEING WITH NO LIFE IN HIMSELF APART FROM GOD, TO TRY AND BE HIS OWN GOD IS INSANITY!
HE TALKED EVE INTO
WANTING TO BE GOD ALSO-- They had decided to 'do it their way'
IF JESUS HAD NOT STEPPED IN AS SURETY THEY WOULD HAVE HAD NO HOPE AT ALL. The Law of God is holy and good- it is HIS very character- THE 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE A DESCRIPTION OF THE PRINCIPLE OF LOVE
The foundation of government in all the universe. But the law could not save. It could not be cancelled to save mankind. The LAW is as enduring as the very THRONE OF GOD! To break the law of obedience to God meant separation from the source of LIFE itself- DEATH was the result! The only way to give man a second chance to return to loyalty and have ETERNAL LIFE was if JESUS the 'SON' of God paid the price of the broken law. He would prove Satan's claim that man could not obey the law to be false. He would come as a man with man's fallen nature and by depending on the power of His Father only, not using His own power, He would live a sinless life- in full obedience to His Father's Law.
Then He would suffer and die the equivalence of the final death- He would suffer total separation from His Father!
Then man could, by believing in the Savior, receive forgiveness through His shed blood and by choosing to live an obedient life depending on the power of Jesus to obey God's law, he could develop a character that could one day be allowed to be reinstated in the family of God. JESUS DEATH ON THE CROSS DID NOT CANCEL OR DO AWAY WITH GOD'S LAW! IF GOD'S LAW COULD BE CANCELED OR DONE AWAY WITH- THEN JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DIE! The Idea that Jesus death did away with God's law is one of the dirtiest tricks Satan has ever tried to play on us poor mortals! JESUS LIFE AND DEATH IS TO PROVIDE FORGIVENESS AND POWER TO ALLOW US TO RETURN TO LOYALTY AND OBEDIENCE TO OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER. His DEATH paid for the broken law and His VICTORY OVER SIN is given to all who choose to receive it. He fought the battle- He gives us His victory. BUT He doesn't force it on us- we must choose to obey God's Law- Jesus makes it possible. The equation is simple: OBEDIENCE THROUGH CHRIST = ETERNAL LIFE
