"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
 John 3:19

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
1 John 4:1

Wit and Wisdom From the 'Bishop of Mud Sock'

Selected from  articles written in the '20s '30s and '40s, by the pastor of a country parish that centered in a little village that years ago had been the site of an Indian village. For some unknown reason the early white settlers called this settlement “Mud Sock.” And to have some fun at the preacher’s expense, some later folk, fond of banter, called the parson “The Bishop of Mud Sock.”
