Among other products, Xiaomi launched the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker days after the launch of the Mi 9 Pro 5 G, the Mi TV Pro 8 K and the Mi Mix Alpha5G. With IP55 water and dust resistance, the cylindrical Bluetooth speaker supports Bluetooth 5.0 and has a Type-C USB port for charging. It is known to offer continuous playback for up to 8 hours and comes with 52 mm drivers. The main chassis uses fabric and soft plastic to make it light and rough simultaneously.
The Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is priced in China at CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 2,000), and it is listed in a single Black color model. The speaker will go on sale starting today in the company’s home market.
The pill-shaped cylindrical design of the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth speaker comes with a 2,600mAh battery. Offering 8-hour non-stop music playback, this battery is promoted. It packs 52 mm drivers and cancels noise with two HD microphone pickups.
It also comes with a one-button hands-free calling feature, and as mentioned above, it is water and dust resistant to IP55. The 360-degree omnidirectional sound of the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker is easy to carry with a flexible handle attached to the top.
The new product is now available on sale, according to a GizmoChina report. Interested buyers can go to the T-Mall page to make the purchase on the official Xiaomi page. The company also shared important details, including the price and features, in addition to this announcement. The Xiaomi Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker has Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity according to the report. The company also added a Type-C USB port to the charging speaker. Beyond that, while offering up to 8 hours of continuous playback time, the product runs on a 2,600mAh battery.
Xiaomi has added 52 mm drivers to the speaker when it comes to the audio hardware. Moreover, to receive audio commands, the device also comes with two HD microphones. Xiaomi also added a strap to the speaker to make sure users are able to hang the speakers on the back of their bag or any wall. The company also took care to add dust from IP55 to the speaker and water resistance. This will be useful as the device is called “Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker.”
Soft plastic and “seamless” fabric were also used by the company to create a Bluetooth speaker. The mixture of these two materials provides the speaker with a premium finish. Last, but not least, the company has priced the speaker at 199 RMB, which translates to just Rs 1,980. Xiaomi has not revealed any information about the launch of the device in the Indian market.
Xiaomi launched the Mi AIrDots Pro 2 Bluetooth earbuds at an event a couple of days ago, which are equipped with dual microphones offering voice control and noise cancelation features. It supports touch controls, comes with 14.2 mm drivers, and the battery offers 4 hours of stand-alone playback, with the case for 14 hours. It supports USB Type-C charging, and charging for the case takes about an hour. For now, when the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker will go on sale in markets other than China, there are no details.
